As we say farewell to Sofie, our CFO, and celebrate the valuable impact she has made during her time with us, she has kindly asked for no gifts. Instead, she invites us to support a cause close to her heart: helping children living with diabetes.

In her honor, we are launching a fundraiser to benefit the Barndiabetesfonden. Your donation—big or small—will help fund vital research, care, and support for young people and their families navigating life with diabetes.

Typ 1-diabetes är en autoimmun, livshotande och obotlig sjukdom. Totalt lever nästan 60 000 personer i Sverige, både vuxna och barn, med typ 1-diabetes. Det är en autoimmun sjukdom, vilket betyder att kroppens immunförsvar attackerar de egna vävnaderna. Vid typ 1-diabetes angrips de insulinproducerande cellerna i bukspottskörteln så att de inte längre kan producera insulin. Egenvården av typ 1-diabetes brukar beskrivas som den mest komplicerade vård som inte sker på sjukhus, utan i hemmet. Utan insulin överlever man inte.
