Storm Lucky Larsen Masters
We at Storm Lucky Larsen Masters care. We have many friends and children of friends that have this terrible disease. Help us help!
Around 9.5 million people worldwide are living with type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that is life-threatening and currently has no cure. Every day, millions of people depend on insulin to stay alive while researchers continue working toward a cure.
Type 1 diabetes occurs when the body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. As a result, the body can no longer produce insulin, a hormone that is essential for survival.
Living with type 1 diabetes requires constant monitoring and countless daily decisions to keep blood sugar levels within a safe range. It is often described as one of the most demanding forms of medical care performed outside a hospital. Without insulin, a person cannot survive. Despite decades of research, there is still no cure and no known way to prevent type 1 diabetes.
It's time to change that.
Please support our fundraiser and help accelerate research toward a cure. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against type 1 diabetes.
